Overview
The Release the Silence Conference is a free, community-focused event in Chicago hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter in partnership with local community, faith-based, health, research, and civic organizations. Now in its fourth year, the conference focuses on the impact of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias within the Black community while promoting culturally responsive education and support. Release the Silence creates a trusted space that reduces stigma, addresses disparities, and connects the community to vital resources.
This event is free to attend and will include a continental breakfast and a light lunch. Registration is highly encouraged to ensure we are able to order enough food for everyone. To register online, please click the "Register" button above. For registration via phone, please call our 24/7 Helpline at (800) 272-3900.

This event was developed in partnership with: Chi Eta Phi, Alpha Eta Chapter, the Scottish Rite Prince Hall Masons, and our conference Planning Committee made up of local leaders, pastors, and caregivers. Take a look at their bios below.
