The Alzheimer's Association announces the election of Aimee Nolan from Evanston, Ill., to its Board of Directors.
Aimee Nolan joins the 24-member, volunteer governing board in steering the strategic direction of the Association as it carries out its mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Nolan is the immediate past Board Chair of the Alzheimer Association, Illinois Chapter and has been a member of the Chapter Board since July 2017. She also served as the Chair of the Illinois Women Conquer Alz (IWCA) from 2017-2020. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF). She was named a Crain’s 2022 Notable Nonprofit Board Leader. She is also an executive member of the board of directors of the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation.
“I am honored to be elected to serve on the Alzheimer’s Association Board of Directors during this exciting time as so much progress is being made in early diagnosis, treatment and care and support for those living with the disease,” said Nolan. “My family has been personally impacted by this devastating illness, and I am excited to be working with the board to make a meaningful impact in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.”
Currently, Nolan serves as general counsel of Zoro, an e-commerce platform offering parts, tools and supplies for businesses. She leads its legal, product compliance, procurement, privacy & governance, risk & compliance teams. Zoro is part of W.W. Grainger, Inc.’s Endless Assortment business segment, with operations in the US and the UK. Before joining Zoro in 2024, Nolan served as the vice president and associate general counsel for W.W. Grainger, Inc. where she was responsible for legal support of technology and e-commerce matters as well as privacy, data protection and security, global sourcing, marketing, procurement and all aspects of Grainger's IP portfolio.
Nolan earned her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and her B.A. from Michigan State University. Nolan also participated in the KMI Executive Management Program at Northwestern University. Nolan will serve a two-year term on the Alzheimer’s Association Board.
Nearly 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, according to the Alzheimer’s Association 2024 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures report, including more than 250,000 in Illinois.
